Dropper Post Service Vice Blocks 31.6mm - Reverb, OneUp, Brand-X, BikeYoke, Fox, KS, Crankbrothers, and all other 31.6mm Dropper Posts
Dropper Post lost its ‘pop’?
Dropper posts need regular servicing to perform as they should (some brands more so than others...)
Servicing is easy when you can vice mount the dropper post in service positions for everything from a basic re-grease to a full cartridge and bearings rebuild. Rock solid 45-degree and horizontal mounting options to allow for:
- Removal of the actuator (even if it’s thread-locked or seized!)
- Easy removal of the top post collar
- Saddle removal, which is otherwise a bit tricky if you’ve already removed the post from the bike!
Specification
- 100mm (4”) long sized for compatibility with all bench vices from 3”-6”
- Horizontal and 45-degree holding angles
- To grip all 31.6mm dropper posts
Convenience, durability, performance
- Ultra durable tools made using engineering polymers. Our test processes for vice blocks and seal presses include the ‘max-clamp-force 6-inch bench vice test’ and my favourite, the ‘sledge hammer test’. Our tools will not let you down.
- Hold your dropper posts and suspension safely in vice blocks to avoid accidental damage whilst working on them.
- Service your forks, shock or dropper post without spending £££ on labour or paying crazy prices for specialist tools.
- Beat the queues at workshops and service your bike on your own time. A 50hr service can be done in 20 mins and a 200hr service in 1-2 hours.
- Magnets hold the vice blocks in the jaws of your bench vice for ease of use.
- Same day dispatch.
Vice Block Grip Torque Test Data
- 7.5-12mm shaft grip torque = 20Nm
- 12-16mm shaft grip torque = 40Nm
- 16mm and above shaft grip torque = 50Nm+
- Dropper posts = 75Nm+
Instructions
- Always follow your service manual
- Thoroughly degrease shafts before gripping in vice blocks (using suspension cleaner or IPA)
- Clean faces of vice blocks to ensure no grit or swarf will be trapped
- Use a bench vice - do not use vice blocks with pliers/mole grips etc.
- Start with low clamping force and only increase clamp force enough to get the job done.
Guarantee
